Mountain Laurel Flowers

This KR piece features an interesting cut in a see through fabric that resembles the properties of a Mountain Laurel flower - the shape, the visual, and the glossy texture of its petals. The gown mimics the stubby petals of the flower by exposing the knee-high skirt in parallel to the open-chested bodice tied to the neckline to create the illusion of the Mountain Laurel flower. The skirt has layers of flounce, with edges curled up gently to resemble a budding flower as a whole.This gown was worn by Miss Connecticut 2021, Amanda Torchia.
